Meet Jamelot
Kathryn Sabol (Kat)
Vocals/Percussion
Meet Kathryn Sabol (Kat), The Opera Dropout Turned Rocker. Once upon a time in the hallowed halls of the New England Conservatory, Kathryn was on a noble quest to conquer the world of opera, armed with nothing but ambition and an impressive pair of vocal cords. But as fate would have it, while rehearsing dramatic arias, a little voice whispered, "What about Linda Ronstadt?" And just like that, the opera dreams took a backseat to belting out classic rock anthems!
Since swapping high notes for rock riffs in 2018, Kat has been serenading the New England crowd, proving that life is too short for serious singing. With a quirky style that blends operatic flair and rock 'n' roll charm, expect everything from heartfelt ballads to spontaneous dance breaks!
When Kat isn’t up on a stage singing, you can find her teaching music to kiddos of all ages and spending time with her husband and 12 year old son.
Seth Hoffsommer
Drums/Vocals
Seth Hoffsommer plays drums and sings. 🙂 He's a decades long, versatile drummer, singer and keys player, having performed multiple genres throughout New England. Raised in a musical family, he was singing in gospel concerts by age 4 and then just kept right on goin'. When he got tired, he slept. When he got hungry, he ate...and when he had to go...ya know...he went.
Now he finds himself in the hallowed halls of Jamelot, reliving the glory days of 8-tracks, velour sweaters, Gino's Hamburgers and Otter Pops; mullets, mix tapes, K cars and Casey Kasem.
Paul MacEachern
Keyboards/Guitar/Vocals
Paul MacEachern is on keys, sings, and strums a guitar a bit. What does an asthmatic kid do? Dive into the piano and learn programming, of course! He considers himself a specialist (without being special), with the goal of getting to the essence of the tune to enable live performance. With one foot planted in the rich pop tapestry of the 70s and the other in the 80s megahits, Jamelot is a culmination of these styles Paul loves in one very talented band.
Nick Clark
Guitar
Nick Clark is far too young to know the music of Jamelot or any of the music he listens to, Jamelot setlist included, but that’s what happens when his parents introduce him to the Blues Brothers by the age of 10. He’s Influenced by guitar gods Eric Clapton, John Frusciante, George Harrison and Mike Campbell, to slightly lesser-appreciated guitar greats like Glenn Tillbrook, John Squire and J. Geils. Outside of the band, Nick has been a music teacher at his former high school for 3 years now and also spent the first summer out of the pandemic working for Klondike Sound as a stage hand.
Now in the funky and soulful universe of Jamelot, he’s ready to start his hopefully long journey in live music and show the world there’s at least 1 person in the next generation that still believes in the power of music!
